Payment rates
Here you will find information about the payment rates to the NOx Fund.
The payment rates to the NOx Fund in 2024 are NOK 17.50 per kilo NOx for the oil and gas industry and NOK 11.50 for the other sectors (shipping, fishing, land-based industry, aviation, district heating, etc.). The fiscal NOx tax in 2024 is NOK 25.59 / kg NOx.
From the first quarter of 2025, the payment rates to the NOx fund will be NOK 18 per kg of NOx for emissions from oil and gas industry and NOK 12 per kg of NOx for other businesses. The fiscal NOx tax for NOx emissions in 2025 will be NOK 26.36 per kg of NOx.
Payment rates from 2017
The difference between high and low payment rates has become smaller, especially calculated as a percentage difference, which is in line with the NOx Agreement 2018-2025.
