Increased support for measures and fleet renewal

The support for NOx-reducing measures increases from NOK 400/kg to NOK 500/kg NOx-reduced. Regarding fleet renewal, fixed support amounts on type 1 and type 2 will increase by 25%, but the maximum new construction cost of NOK 600 million will remain. The change does not apply to the electrification of permanent installations on the Norwegian continental shelf.

The purpose of higher support is to compensate for price increase in the market and for more emission-reducing projects to be applied for and implemented. This is important to meet the targets in the NOx Agreement.

The increase takes effect from and includes the board meeting on 24th August 2022. The change only applies to new applications.
