Commitment to support NOx-reducing measures
The NOx Fund has approved support for nine new measures in this round of applications. The projects provide a total estimated NOx reduction of 400 tonnes and a support amount of NOK 167 million.
At the board meeting on 24 August, twelve applications were processed, of which nine projects have been approved for support and three projects have been refused.
The types of projects that have been approved are as follows:
Oil and gas: Three energy efficiency projects which will result in a NOx reduction of 197 tonnes.
Fishing: Four fleet renewals and a replacement of an old engine with NOx purification (SCR). In total, this will result in a NOx reduction of 153 tonnes.
Shipping: One project with energy efficiency measures on cruise ships which will reduce 50 tonnes of NOx.
Overall overview of the NOx agreement 2018-2025:
The NOx fund has so far processed 563 applications in the NOx Agreement 2018-2025. Of these, 149 have now been fully verified. It is included in the figures that 135 applications have been withdrawn, and 72 applications have been refused. The rest which has been promised support are under verification.
