The NOx Agreement 2018-2025 has been extended by two years. All companies must sign the new Supplementary Agreement for 2026-2027 in order to be entitled to a tax exemption from the state from 1st January 2026.

The tax exemption requires that the NOx Agreement 2026-2027 (Supplementary Agreement) is approved by EFTA's Surveillance Authority (ESA).

Affiliation by 15th January 2023
We ask all companies to join the Supplementary Agreement by 15th January 2023. This is to ensure continuity in the NOx Fund's work and predictability in available support. To receive support for measures implemented in 2026-2027, the company must be affiliated to the Supplementary Agreement for 2026-2027.

Companies that are affiliated to the NOx Agreement 2018-2025
To affiliate a company that is affiliated to the NOx Agreement 2018-2025, a signed Participant Agreement must be submitted electronically via the NOx Fund's web portal. You must log in with your username and password. Contact the NOx Fund if you need assistance.

Companies that are not affiliated to the NOx Fund
Affiliation to the NOx Fund for companies that are not affiliated to the NOx Fund must be done via this link. Fill in your company information and upload the signed Participant Agreement and company certificate. The company must join both the NOx Agreement 2018-2025 and the Supplementary Agreement for 2026-2027.

The Participant Agreement must be signed by someone in the company who is legally authorised to sign on behalf of the company.

The emissions obligation in the NOx Agreement
NOx emissions from sources covered by the Agreement shall be kept below a total emission ceiling over periods of two years:

  • Total for 2018 and 2019: 202,510 tonnes
  • Total for 2020 and 2021: 192,510 tonnes
  • Total for 2022 and 2023: 182 510 tonnes
  • Total for 2024 and 2025: 172,510 tonnes
  • Total for 2026 and 2027: 161,000 tonnes
