Handshake for good deal

The NOx Fund has supported 12 new projects to reduce NOx emissions. In total, the projects estimate a NOx reduction of 932 tonnes to a total support cost of NOK 317 million.

At the board meeting on 26 April, 12 applications were processed, and all the projects were granted support. Several of the projects are so far confidential. Limited detailed information is therefore provided about each individual grant in this round.

The type of projects which have been granted are as follows:

  • Oil and gas: One project with partial electrification of the platform and two projects with energy efficiency and NOx purification on drilling rigs.
  • Land-based industry: One project with NOx purification (SNCR) at a new energy centre at Tine Jæren.
  • Shipping: Four projects with NOx purification (SCR), in combination with new engines and / or energy efficiency.
  • Fishing: Four projects where old engines are replaced with new engines with NOx purification (SCR).

The NOx Fund has so far in the NOx Agreement 2018-2025 received 500 applications. The table below shows the status of these applications.
